Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that two separate incidents of vehicular accidents were reported to the police on Thursday and Friday.
Three persons were hurt in the Ngermid incident which was reported to the police at 10:21 am on March 19.Aguon said the driver and his two passengers were all rushed to the hospital for treatment.The officers determined during investigation that the driver was driving on the main highway when it ran off the road and hit the side of the road.On March 20 at 3:35 am, a single car accident was reported to the police in Ngerbeched.The vehicle was heading towards Airai Bridge when it ran off the roadway and collided into an electric pole.The driver sustained injuries in the forehead and facial area.Aguon said both incidents were considered DUI and reckless driving case.In other police report, a minor girl was also transported to the hospital for treatment after she was hit by a person driving a motorcycle, Saturday night.Aguon said that police officer from Peleliu called and reported that they are transporting a juvenile who was injured in the arm and knee.The minor was treated for her injuries and was released later from the hospital.
