DPS to conduct checkpoints on May 24, 26, 28

THE Department of Public Safety will conduct a total of six separate occupant protection and child restraint checkpoints on May 24, 26 and 28, 2022.

Tuesday, May 24, 2022

The first checkpoint will be along Beach Road, Chalan Laulau to Beach Road, Chalan Piao from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

The second checkpoint will be along Beach Road Garapan to Beach Road, Chalan Kanoa from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The first checkpoint will be along Chalan Pale Arnold Road, Sadog Tasi to Chalan Pale Arnold Road, Gualo Rai from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The second checkpoint will be along Chalan Pale Arnold Road, Chalan Laulau to Chalan Pale Arnold Road, Puerto Rico from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The first checkpoint will be along Chalan Monsignor Guerrero, Dandan to Chalan Monsignor Guerrero,  San Jose from 9:45 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The second checkpoint will be along Chalan Monsignor Martinez Road, Kobler to Chalan Monsignor Martinez Road, As Lito from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The purpose of these scheduled checkpoints is to promote public safety while increasing awareness of the dangers of not utilizing a vehicle’s occupant protection system and child restraints systems while driving on the island’s roadways. Locations of these checkpoints were pre-determined based on the number of auto accidents, occupant protection, and child restraint system violations in these areas.
