Division inspectors issued a citation to Rock Island Beverage Co., for selling tobacco products with an expired license.
The inspectors said the establishment has paid their fines and has applied for a new license.Another establishment, BH Store received citation for selling cigarettes to minors.The BH store was fined $100 for the violation.The inspectors were conducting a routine check on the establishment when the store clerk was caught selling tobacco to a minor.Earlier the Alcohol and Tobacco Inspectors confiscated taro wines illegally manufactured and illegally sold in various stores.As a result of the confiscation, three Chinese nationals were cited for the manufacture and sale of the taro wines by inspectors of the Alcohol and Tobacco Office. The division confiscated at least seven cases of the products from various establishments.The inspectors said that fine is up to $600.An investigation is still being conducted to determine appropriate charges to be filed against the violators.The Division of Labor and the Tax Office inspectors also jointly conducted the confiscation.
