Junior Cardinals’ come back win, 42 – 41

The Junior Cardinals were able to shoot only 15 points at the first half of the action against a score of 29 from KES – B, however behind by as much as many points, MSS did not give up and played their might at the third and fourth period. With a serious dialogue with their coach at the half time break, Junior Cardinals players Jordan, Junior, Rikko, Cody, and Edward joined hands that turned things around using their tight, aggressive men to men defense to KES players that proved to be effective as they were able to steal the ball form the hands of their opponent and convert on a transition offense. And with seconds left on the game and down by just 1 point, Rikko was able to get a rebound on KES attempt and gave it to Junior on the wing. Junior drove but was fouled with KES on penalty. Junior missed the first, but as he shot the second free throw, the ball rattled out were his team mate Edward grabbed the ball in the air and threw a follow up shot that went slowly inside that resulted a 1 point lead for team MSS. KES called a timeout to design a play but was foiled again by the hostile defense of MSS in which Jordan took the ball and dribbled as the time expires for KES and Junior Cardinals wins, 42 – 41

Meyuns Dolphins won against KES team A, 45 – 42 in another exhilarating game that was featured Monday afternoon whereas, GBH Smuuch team A defeated SDA Kings Tuesday with a score of 59 – 46.The schedules for the single round elimination games are as follows: SDA Kings will try to bounce back from a loss against GBH Smuuch team B Thursday then MSS Junior Cardinals will try to repeat a win against Team A of KES.Games begin exactly 3:00 in the afternoon from Monday to Friday with rules that are set to have each match played for 4 quarters at 8minutes per quarter.  All teams will play a single elimination round were top 4 teams advance to semifinals and eventually the remaining winners will go for the championship game. In addition to the traditional FIBA rules, set of laws of the league will also discourage any unsportsmanlike attitude, fighting, and strictly impose of the ban on the use of drugs, betelnut chewing, and alcohol.The 2009 Palau Basketball Federation’s Elementary Schools Basketball League – Girls Divisions is another program offered and supervised by the Palau Basketball Federation (PBF) under the elementary school level.
