OVER the weekend, NMI swimmers Justin Ma, Maria Guerrero, and Moshe Sikkel departed for Otopeni, Romania, to compete in the 2025 World Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships, scheduled for Aug. 19–24.
The competition will be held at the Aquatics Complex, a facility purpose-built for world-class international swimming events. The venue opened with the European Junior Swimming Championships in 2022 and later hosted the European Short Course Swimming Championships in 2023.
Guerrero will compete in the 50 Fly, 50 Free, 50 Back, and 100 Back events. Ma will swim in the 50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free, and 50 Fly events, while Sikkel — flying from Holland to join the team in Bucharest — will compete in the 50 Back, 100 Back, 200 Back, and 50 Free events.
