MAN Amigos, along with SUFA, Asahi, and Tokahao, advanced to the masters division semifinals of the 2025 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball Association League after winning their quarterfinal matchups at Dandan ball field on Sunday.
Man Amigos dominated Hagu Lamun in just four innings, 17-2, advancing with ease. They set the tone early on defense, recording two flyouts followed by a strikeout for three consecutive outs. Offensively, the bases were constantly loaded as the team strung together hit after hit, producing five earned runs. Manny Sablan and Jerry Guerrero each contributed a two-RBI single, while Christian Camacho added an RBI single to give Man Amigos a 5-0 lead.
Hagu Lamun threatened over the next two innings, reaching as far as third base, but were repeatedly denied and remained scoreless. Man Amigos continued to surge, scoring eight runs in the bottom of the second and three more in the bottom of the third. Highlights included Manny Sablan’s three-RBI double and solo home run, Jun Palacios’ two-run homer, and Pete Sablan’s two-run homer, pushing the lead to 16-0.
With the mercy rule in effect, Hagu Lamun needed to score two runs in the top of the fourth to extend the game and delivered. However, Man Amigos notched a run in the bottom half, maintaining the mercy rule and ending the game after four innings with a 17-2 victory.
Other quarterfinal winners included SUFA, who outlasted Cholos Familia 9-8; Tokahao, who shot down the Eagle Rays 14-3; and Asahi, who trounced Whass Up 21-1.
