US Coast Guard vessel to visit Yap
COLONIA, Yap (Yap State Government) — The U.S. Embassy in Pohnpei has informed Gov. Sebastian L. Anefal through the Department of Foreign Affairs of a proposed visit to Yap state by the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Washington in May.
The vessel is scheduled to visit Yap on May 1-15 to participate in Operation Rai Balong.
The embassy is requesting Yap to designate a point of contact from the state government to coordinate the necessary detailed arrangements for the USSCGC Washington.
Foreign Affairs Secretary Lorin Robert also requested that all concerns regarding the visit be directed to the Subdivision of American Affairs of his department.
