Order of the Purple Heart

(Military/Veterans Affairs) — This is to invite all Purple Heart recipients and their dependents for a briefing with Jack Shimuzu, commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Pacific Areas.
The briefing will be on April 23, starting at 8 a.m., at the Office of Military/Veterans Affairs, Building 1364, Capital Hill. He will be available all day until 3 p.m.

Memorial Day

 

(Military/Veterans Affairs) — On May 25, Memorial Day, the CNMI will join the rest of the nation in paying tribute to members of the U.S. armed forces who are no longer with us.
This is to let all Memorial Day committee members and all interested in being a part of the committee, that there are weekly meetings every Tuesday, 9 a.m., at the Office of Military/Veterans Affairs on Capital Hill, Building 1364.
Everyone is encouraged and invited to attend.

NMC Career Fair

(NMC) — High school and college students are invited to  Northern Marianas College’s Career Center’s Career Fair on Thursday, April 23, which will showcase the various employment opportunities in the CNMI.

 The fair, which is part of the college’s celebration of Career Discovery Month, will be held between Buildings W and V at NMC and will run from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

In addition to the fair, the college also facilitated career development workshops, which focused on resume building, self-employment, and interviewing techniques and etiquette.

The self-employment workshop featured a presentation from Walt Goodrich of the Saipanpreneur Project.

SSHS report card, PTA meeting

(SSHS) — Parents/legal guardians of Saipan Southern High School students are reminded that the report cards will be issued from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the counseling office on April 22.

 All students will be dismissed at 1 p.m.

There will be a PTA meeting on the same day at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria.

(KKA) — Kagman Komunidat Association would like to invite political candidates for governor, senator and Precinct 5 representatives to meet with Precinct 5 voters.

Village meetings will take place at the Kagman Community Center and voters will get the chance to meet with candidates and ask questions.

(MHS) — The MHS Class of 1999 reunion meeting will be held today, April 21, at 5:30 p.m. at the Minatchom Atdao Pavillion on Kilili Beach.
The agenda of the meeting is the reunion plan and selection of committees.
