Saipan fighters win in PXC ‘Fearless’

Trench Tech’s   Giovanni “Palaxi” Sablan and Fasi “Quickdraw” Jesse as well as Marianas Elite’s Derrick “El Peligro” Rangamar defeated their respective opponents who hailed from different islands and countries.

Sablan, Jesse and Rangamar were among Saipan contingents for the international competition where fighters from Japan, Saipan, the United States and Guam participated.

Sablan stood victorious against local favorite, Robert “The Real Deal” Wusstig of team Underworld Xtreme.

Young and a new comer of MMA, Wusstig had three wins and had not lost yet until his fight with Sablan. He even scored a huge upset by knocking out the then URCC lightweight champion, Justin “The Shocker” Cruz in PXC 15.

Sablan beat Wusstig in the second round via rear naked choke that brought him to submission. Now, Sablan has improved to 15 wins with 4 losses.

Fasi Jesse was also declared the winner in his bout against Eric “Edog” Santos, one of Guam’s top dogs in the 155 pound division.

Santos of Team Underworld Extreme was also an undefeated fighter nd was the gold medal winner in the recently held Marianas Cup Open Grappling Championships in March before his match up with Jesse.

 Fasi defeated Santos by unanimous decision in the third round. Jesse now holds a perfect MMA record of 4-0.

Rangamar was dominating his match against his more experienced Japanese opponent, Yasuhiro Motomuro who is a Shooto Top Contender in the 140 pound class in Japan.

The Saipan fighter controlled that fight for most of the first round but unfortunately found himself in the receiving end of a Motomuro triangle and was submitted three minutes into the bout. Rangamar drops to three wins and five defeats with this loss.

Meanwhile, Japan’s Tomonori Taniguchi Guam’s defeated Alex “Most Hated” Castro by knock out in the first round.  

Guam’s Justin Cruz got even by beating Japan’s Taiki Tsuchiya via technical knock out in Round 1.

Guam’s Hosea “Killa B” Ware put Japan’s Hiraki Sakuma into submission via arm bar in the first round.

Guam’s Ryan “Biggs” Bigler loses to Japan’s Hiroshi Masabuchi via ground and pound in the first round.
