This follows the official launching of the airlines upgraded Web site — www.flysolomons.com — last Friday in Honiara.
The chairman of the airline’s board, Bill Tyson, launched the Web site, which has a much more improved features than in the past.
The Web page also promotes various parts of the country and holiday destinations.
Tyson said the launching indicates that the airline is serious in improving its services despite the current economic and financial difficulties being faced in the country.
General manager of commercial services, Gus Kraus, said it was a proud moment for the airlines.
“It’s a moment we have been waiting for over the past years,” he said.
He said the online booking portal will certainly improve their services to its clients and make it easy for clients to book from anywhere and anytime.
Kraus said the Web site is user friendly and easy to browse through.
The launching was attended by the airlines staff including the chief executive officer, board members, tourist operators, officials from the culture and tourism ministry, Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau official, and travel agents in Brisbane and Suva.
The launching also featured a draw which allowed one of the guests to travel on return ticket to a domestic and international destination during this Easter period.
