Northern Marianas Athletics president, Kurt Barnes said Kabriel will be the first CNMI athlete who will compete in the prestigious event.
The Oceania Athletic Association he said will pay for half of Kabriel’s air fare and the NMA will pay for the other half. Oceania, he added will also take care of the athlete’s meals and lodging.
Kabriel was the only one who made it in the qualifying Half Marathon Championships last May 2. CNMI won’t have female athlete to send in Australia.
