“We want to respect the GOP primary process and not meddle into the GOP’s internal affairs,” said Camacho.
He said although the Republican Party primary is an open primary, he is asking Covenant Party members to respectfully refrain from voting in the GOP primary so as not to distort the political strength of GOP candidates.
Camacho said the GOP primary is a Republican Party matter and the Covenant Party should not interfere or be involved in the internal political affairs of the Republican Party.
“We want a clean and healthy race and campaign,” said Camacho.
Camacho also assured Covenant Party voters that a failure to vote in the GOP primary would not disqualify otherwise eligible voters from voting in the general election this year.
The important thing, said Camacho, is that all Covenant Party supporters are registered to vote and that they do exercise their right to vote in the general elections on Nov. 7.
