The police report indicated that on May 10 at 4:12 am, police officer called the central station via a radio and reported that they were on a hot pursuit of a car in Ngerchemai which was heading towards Iyebukel.The vehicle almost run over a person jogging and when police tried to pull him over, the suspect failed to stop and continued to drive through the Compact road.The suspect’s vehicle run to a police vehicle and lost control and run into a hillcrest.At this time, the suspect got out of his vehicle and fled the scene on foot.Meanwhile a man was arrested over the weekend for driving his vehicle under the influence of alcohol.Jack Hilbert, 40 was arrested for DUI and reckless driving when his vehicle collided with another vehicle.The auto collision happened on May 9 at 1 am in front of Sea Passion hotel in Malakal.The suspect was driving his vehicle and was heading towards Malakal when he lost control and run off the roadway and hit another vehicle.The suspect was pulled over and the police officers approached the suspect.The officers noticed that Hilbert was under the influence of alcohol so a test was administered and he failed the test.
