Four teams for the boy’s competition namely, EHS – Knights, EHS – Sharks, PHS – Waterfall, and MHS – Wahoo while the girl’s class composed of Bethania High School – team A and B and MHS – Wahoo came to participate on the 250 meter and 500 meter sprint Canoe race organized by Palau NOC Canoe Association.
The Knights paddled their might on the 250 meter sprint final race as they grab the number one spot to a time of 1 minute and 20 seconds which is 2 seconds ahead of a trailing Palau High School team Waterfall who got second place clocked in at 1 minute and 22. Coming in on third was the 2nd team from Emmaus, team Shark, followed by team MHS boy’s team Wahoo. As for the exciting finals of the 500 meter sprint, MHS – Wahoo boys needed a last strong team push to edge off their opponent, EHS – Knights, by 0.02 seconds in capturing number one while the Knights settling for second, EHS – Sharks for third then PHS – Waterfall in last place.As for the girls division, MHS – Wahoo clearly took over both categories of 250 m and 500 m sprint races with identical first placer as they beat their counterparts from Bethania High team A and B.
