Jose Eller Daguinot , who has been serving time in jail for six years for drug –related case will be finally released in jail along with Enrique Deatras and Mark Fred Jose.
Deatras started serving his child abuse sentence in May 14 of 2008 and expected to be released on May 14, 2010.Jose meanwhile was also serving child abuse sentence and was sent to jail in 2008.Philippine Ambassador Ramoncito Marino thanked President Johnson Toribiong and Justice Minister Johnny Gibbons for allowing the release of the remaining Filipinos in jail.The president for his part said he asked the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) to utilize the judicial process first.Associate Justice Kathleen Salii on April 28, granted the AGO motion to modify the inmates’ sentences.The motion stated that the deportation of the three will be a “substantial assistance to the republic in that it would reduce jail overcrowding.”Justice Salii granted the motion and ordered their deportation at their expense.Marino said he has requested the Philippine government for repatriation funds to send the three home.
