Demapan shot even par 36 in the front nine. Although he struggled big time in the back nine hitting 6-over par 42, his nine handicap trimmed his 78 gross to 69.
Edward Manibusan also pared in the front and went 2-over par 38 in the back placed second as his 3 handicap put his 74 down to 71 tying it up with John Takai whose 28 handicap pulled his net from a gross of 99.
Takai however settled for third as he triple bogeyed in the Hole No. 8.
Demapan also shot closest to the pin in the Hole No. 3 while Steve Balakrishna got both Hole Nos. 7 and 12.
The SGA will be playing the June Ace ahead of schedule. It will be on Sunday, May 31 at the Marianas Country Club in Marpi.
Check in time is 8:30 a.m., and tee time, 9:30.
