DFEMS responds to vehicle and structure fire in Sadog Tasi

THE Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services on Monday responded to a structure and vehicle fire at Prince Hotel in Sadog Tasi.

DFEMS public information officer Robert Mojica stated that they received a call about a car on fire at 1:33 a.m.

At 1:34 a.m., Engine-2, Engine-4, and Rescue-1 responded to the location.

At 1:46 a.m., Engine-2 was the first to arrive on scene and confirmed that a vehicle was “fully engulfed.”

The fire was under control at 1:56 a.m., DFEMS stated.

Fire prevention and arson investigation division head Tony Santos said the four-door sedan sustained major heat and smoke damage.

“Area of origin was located northwest side of the vehicle,” he said.

Further scene investigation also revealed that a fire broke out in a room on the second floor of a structure adjacent to the vehicle, Santos said.

“Area of origin for the structure fire was on the western side of the building on the second floor.”

He said the incident is still under investigation.

According to the fire department, there were no reported injuries or fatalities at the scene of the fire.
