7 Dandan parents finish Motheread/Fatheread program

School principal Jonas Barcinas said five of the seven were unable to complete the six sessions of the program, but they can still join the next cycle.

The successful participants of the Motheread/Fatheread program which culminated on May 23 were Katy Santos, Wilma Atalig, Wendie Escota, David Delvalleno, Samuel Masaii, Amoreleen Ulloa and Ana Myrra Francisco.

Barcinas said the parents received certificates of completion and a tote bag with books.

They also received stationary supplies that they will need to work on the activities with their children at home, Barcinas said.

The sessions were held from April 4 to May 23 at the school every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Barcinas said the books that participants used included “Ming Lo Moves the Mountain,” “Love You Forever,” “Quick as a Cricket,” “Leo the Late Bloomer,” “Wings,” “A Tale of Two Chickens,” “The Story of Ferdinand,” and “The Three Billy Goad Gruff.”

The parent trainers were Lyzandra Barcinas and Merced Deleon Guerrero.
