4 hospitalizations; 53 new Covid-19 cases

(Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.) — As of March 11, 2022, there were four individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19:

Two were unvaccinated, and two were fully vaccinated.

CHCC also reported on Friday evening that 53 additional individuals had been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 10,379 cases since March 26, 2020.

The 53 cases were identified on March 10, 2022.

A total of 94 Covid-19 vaccine shots were administered on March 11, 2022; of the eligible population, 57.8% have received an additional dose. The vaccination rate is calculated using the 2020 Census population estimates for the CNMI and includes the eligible 5-year-olds and older population.

The vaccination statuses of the 53 new cases identified are pending verification.

A total of 326 Covid-19 tests were conducted on March 10, 2022:

266 via Community-Based Testing;

30 at Koblerville Covid-19 Community Center; and

30 at Rota Health Center.

Of the total cases identified, as of March 10, 2022, there were 10,094 recoveries and 255 active cases.

Of the cases, 9,661 were identified through community testing and 718 via travel testing.

Since March 2020, there have been 30 Covid-19-related deaths in the CNMI.
