ISAAC Aguon has been added to the list of Marianas Golf Association’s elite players after clinching the February Ace of the Month title on Feb. 6 at the Kingfisher Golf Links.
Aguon played well as he kept a steady backswing throughout the day. He completed the front nine with a gross of 42 and then came back strong on the back nine with a score of 38 for a gross total of 80. With a 14 handicap, Aguon finished first with a net score of 66.
In second place was Victor Salas who was one stroke behind. He shot a gross total of 77 and with a handicap of 10, his net score was 67.
Placing third was John Terlaje who shot a net score of 71.
In the side events, the closest to the pin winners were Domingo Atalig for hole #6; Carl Hocog, hole #8; Calvin Yamagishi, hole #12; and Nate Camacho, hole #15.
MGA’s other 2021/2022 monthly aces are Joshua Atalig (May), Dennis Mendiola (June), Jesse Ramon (July), Amier Younis (August), Sylvester Javier (September), Jose Taitano (October), Melvin Sablan (November), Frankie Blas (December), and Victor Salas (January).
Two more monthly ace tournaments will be played in MGA’s 2021/2022 season.
