Woman arrested for promoting prostitution

Acting Department of Public Safety spokesman Jason T. Tarkong said a police officer who was on routine patrol by Hafa Adai Beach Hotel saw the suspect, a citizen of the People’s Republic of China, possibly soliciting three Caucasian males at about 6 p.m. on July 13, 2009.

Tarkong said a police officer parked his patrol car and monitored the suspect who was having a conversation with the three men.

The police officer said he saw the group pause by the intersection at Hard Rock Café.

The suspect later walked away while the three men continued to walk east toward Mom’s Round Two Restaurant.

Tarkong added that the police officer approached the three men and investigated what he saw.

The officer learned that the suspect offered them a “special massage” for $60.00 and in exchange for sex.

The men said that the suspect asked them to meet her down the street and she would have someone pick them up.

The police officer then searched for the suspect and found her by the Golden Harvest Store in Garapan.

The officer arrested the suspect for promoting prostitution and transported her to the Department of Corrections for booking and detention.

Tarkong said the suspect apologized to the police officer for what she did and admitted that she was an illegal alien whose entry permit had already expired.
