PNCC International Roaming now Available for Taiwan and Marianas visitors

GSM international roaming is the ability to use your own cellular phone (and number) while traveling away from your home mobile network.  This new service allows visitors to Palau to connect to PNCC’s GSM network without buying a PNCC SIM card.  As soon as they step off the plane, they can turn on their cell phones (as long as they have GSM-900 compatible models) and make calls home, overseas or locally throughout Palau.  They will be billed on their regular monthly bill by their home operator for all calls made while roaming in Palau.

“This is a really convenient service for visitors who want to stay in touch easily with their families and businesses while travelling, and helps increase Palau’s appeal as a high-end visitor destination,” said Richard L. Misech, PNCC General Manager. “We started with major cellular providers in Taiwan and the Marianas since many of Palau’s visitors come from these areas, and will be adding more roaming partners from the Philippines, U.S., Japan and Korea soon.”For more information about international roaming and other PNCC services, please call PNCC Customer Service at 488-9000, or visit www.palaunet.com (click on Customer Support for FAQ’s).
