IT&E gets new nickname, routs Pingelap in Belau softball opening

Mabel Ngirngemelas and Robin Secharmidal led the rally in the first inning with their two RBI single and one RBI single respectively.

Olibert Lizama struck out three and allowed only four runs of the nine base hits he gave up and IT&E fielders helped keep four innings scoreless for Pingelap.

Dennis Cruz rocketed a one-run home run into the middle field in the second inning while Victor Ducor and Highness Asanuma who both hit a single scored runs.

Fuanes Denziro hit an RBI single and scored a run from Ngirngemelas’ double in the final inning.

Ben Hekins tripled for Pingelap, Jermy Solomon drove in two runs with a single and Johnny Isaac had one RBI.

Haga T 14, Falcons 13

Franklin Atalig tied the game with his run-scoring single and forced an extra inning.

Then, Jordan Ogo singled and moved to scoring position on Shawn Ogo’s single before Ton Ito walked and sent him home to tie the game again.

Greg Guerrero’s batted and an error drove Ito home for the winning run.

Zachary King hit a two-run double and Daniel Ogo, Jess Vilar and Ito had an RBI single each in Haga T’s rally to take the lead in the third inning.

Oliver Iguel connected a three-run home run in the fourth inning leading Falcons to bounce back but the Haga T’s fielded them to have scoreless fifth and six innings.

PIC 7, Ngiwal-79 2

Ruben Olkeriil allowed only two runs and struck one, then, the Pacific Island Club fielders completed the task to defend their lead and secured their 7-2 win against Ngiwal 79.

Cole Pritchnel drove in runs with his sacrifice fly, Chuji Rios and Annes Capelle hit an RBI single each in the third inning.

Darrel Roligat who made it to the first base on Ngiwal pitcher’s error was moved to scoring position when Tommy Kemington’s line drive slipped from third baseman Frank Arurang’s hands.

Wuzz Up 14, Saipal 4

Kyle Kaipat launched a three-run home run in the top first inning for Wuzz Up’s debut game and Saipal’s Gloyd Martin tied the ball game with a solo home run. Martin struck out one and helped keep Wuzz Up scoreless in second and third inning.

However, Keoni Lizama hit a single for Wuzz Up in the fourth inning and Manny Cabrera drove in him home with a single leading the rally to set a four-run gap.

Noki Saralu clobbered Saipal with a solo home run, Marvin Kaipat fired three RBI single and Lizama knocked in a run-scoring single.

BJ Deleon Guerrero also fired an RBI single in the sixth inning for their 14-4 win against Saipal.

Peleliu 10, Redman 2

Lefty Shiro started with an RBI single and AJ Taitano fired two-run single as well as Peleliu mounted the rally in the fourth inning leading to their 10-2 victory over Redman.

Payton Sakuma drove-in two run with his triple in the third.

He and Darwin Masaru also fired run-scoring singles in the fourth inning.

Ashahi 14, Ngetbang 1

Kuich Damian rocketed a two-run home run and Hector Efraim fired a run-scoring triple to help Ashahi rout Ngetbang Hilitais, 14-1.

Megayuer Suda had two RBI double and Cliffton Sill fired a run-scoring single.

Earlier in the third inning, Ashahi begun their rout on Ngetbang with six base hits four of which driving in runs.

Poland Yamada knocked in a run-scoring double, and Sill, Efraim and Damian had one RBI single each.
