COMMONWEALTH national golf team player Rose Rohringer ruled the CNMI Women’s Golf Association’s March tournament Saturday at the Kingfisher Golf Links.

On the front nine, she shot a gross of 45. Although it was still anyone’s game at the moment, Rohringer managed to improve her odds on the back nine  with a gross of 43. With a total gross of 88, her handicap of 10 gave her a net score of 78.

In second place was Yuko Togawa who had the best gross score on the front nine at 40, but she slightly struggled on the back nine and ended with a gross of 44 for a total score of 84. Sporting a handicap of 5, her  net total was 79, just one stroke behind Rohringer.

Finishing third was Kyunga Park who started off strong with a gross of 43 on the front nine. However, she failed to maintain a steady swing on the back nine and ended with a gross score of 51 for a gross total of 94. A handicap of 15 gave her a net score of 79.

Although Togawa and Park shared the same net score, Togawa had the better scorecard playoff score.

Filling the top five list were Terry Guerrero with a net score of 79 and Sherlyn Jones with a net score of 81.

Togawa and Park edged Guerrero in the scorecard playoff.
