Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that the guard was brought to the hospital for treatment shortly after he was attacked by still unknown suspect(s).
The burglar(s) fled from the scene aboard a vehicle and was chased by police officer for driving on a high speed.The suspect abandoned the car later and fled on foot.Aguon said that on Sunday at 12:40 am police officers called Central police and reported that they were in pursuit of a vehicle travelling on a high speed.The vehicle was spotted later abandoned in Malakal.Aguon said that at the same time, a woman called police and asked for ambulance because a security of an establishment in Malakal had injuries.Initial investigation disclosed that the vehicle that police were pursuing earlier was also seen earlier at Happy Fish Market where a burglary occurred.Police found items at the vehicle believed to be stolen from the Happy Fish Market.
