THE University of California San Diego, in partnership with CNMI OSHA, conducted five confined space training sessions at the American Memorial Park auditorium on March 21-23, 2022.
There were over 60 participants from both the private and public sectors. The purpose of the course was to educate workers and employers of the hazards that come with working in and around confined spaces and the importance of a company’s rescue plan.
OSHA’s on-site consultation program manager, Tim Asaivao, said “The reception by the participants was positive and encouraging, in spite of the challenges they continue to face since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.”
Asaivao added, “CNMI OSHA’s consultation program can assist with hazard identification and proper abatement techniques.”
