“See you around and enjoy your stay with us,” she told the 42 students who attended the orientation.
861 registered for the fall semester last week.
Student leaders, counselors and student ambassadors were also recognized during the orientation.
NMC program manager Heather Santos discussed how the students could avail of the work study and internship/employment and community service programs.
“These will not only help [students] financially but it will also help them gain work experience,” she said.
Miles Rodriguez, president of the Associated Students of NMC, encouraged students to participate in student activities.
At the same time, she urged them to register for the upcoming ASNMC election.
NMC coordinator for student activities and leadership program Perry Inos Jr. invited the students to visit the Student Center during their free time and enjoy the student services it offers.
The Student Center is currently close for repainting.
During the orientation, NMC officials apologized for the long lines that students had to go through during the registration process.
NMC said it is working on improving the registration process to meet the needs of the students.
The college is considering on-line registration in the next semester.
