The president and his delegation visited Lekinioch, Satowan, Moch and Nema.
On each of the islands, the residents received Mori warmly, with songs, island food and speeches.
Meetings were held with the local governments and people and the issues that were discussed ranged from capital improvement projects, sea transportation, Japan’s donation of two more boats, the repair of the Chief Milo, dispensaries, environmental health, climate change and copra production.
Mori arrived on Weno, Chuuk on Sunday, and on the next day, he attended the opening ceremony of the state leadership conference at the Truk Stop Hotel.
The actual joint leadership conference between the national and Chuuk state governments began on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
They discussed reform updates and status, infrastructure projects including those related to power, road, water and sewer, transportation/communication issues, sea transportation, air transportation, tele-communications, private sector development, and health and education updates.
