Malicious mischief, theft on the rise

Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that aside from numerous damages of several properties, theft and burglary is also on the rise last week through weekend.

He said anyone who has information can call police and the Crime Stoppers at 4888477.Police report indicated that on July 30 at 7 am, a woman called and reported that someone entered the Mindzenty High School and threw a rock at the window of the teacher’s lounge.The teachers also discovered papers scattered on the floor.A car window was also damaged on July 30. The window at the driver side of a vehicle belonging to Palau Conservation Society was shattered while it was parked in Medalaii.A security guard of a building in Idid also reported that on July 31 at 3 am, a vehicle was driving by when someone from the car threw a stone shattering the windows of a vehicle parked in the area.An unknown caller also reported to police on July 31 at 6:25 am that someone threw a rock shattering a window shield of a vehicle parked in Meyuns.A woman reported to police on August 1 that an unknown individual went to her house and entered her room and stole her wallet.A woman also called on July 30 at 11:46 am that someone went to her residence in Dngeronger and stole assorted jewelry and coins amounting to $800.The estimated amount of the stolen item is $2,000.
