11 hospitalizations; 66 additional Covid 19 cases,

(Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.) — As of March 3, 2022, there were 11 individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19:

One was unvaccinated, nine were vaccinated, and one was partially vaccinated.

One of the 11 was on a ventilator.

CHCC also reported on Thursday evening that 66 additional individuals had been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 9,922 cases since March 26, 2020. Some duplicates have been deleted.

Of the 66 cases:

59 were identified on March 2, 2022, and seven prior to March 2, 2022.

Four were identified on Tinian, and four on Rota.

A total of 44 Covid-19 vaccine shots were administered on March 3, 2022. Of the eligible population, 57.1% have received an additional dose. The vaccination rate is calculated using the 2020 Census population estimates for the CNMI and includes the eligible 5-year-olds and older population.

The vaccination statuses of the 66 new cases identified are pending verification.

A total of 252 Covid-19 tests were conducted on March 2, 2022:

153 via Community-Based Testing;

60 at Koblerville Covid-19 Community Center;

29 at Tinian Health Center; and

10 at Rota Health Center.

Of the total cases identified, as of March 2, 2022, there were 9,244 recoveries and 648 active cases.

9,253 of the cases were identified via community testing and 669 through travel testing.

There have been 30 Covid-19-related deaths in the CNMI since March 2020.
