Fixers beat Olivos, take lead in Miller Lite Cup

With only three losses which they endured in the first few weeks of the league, the Diamond Fixers intensified their defense and left the scoring job with Barrios to keep their winning streak.

Barrios helped pull the Fixers away from Olivos early in the first quarter by firing nine points including a three-pointer.

JR Montano backed him up to combine 12 points keeping the lead wide open in the second quarter.

Barrios continued the surge scoring eight points in the third quarter as the Fixers tightened their defense.

Dan Ray Hernandez rampaged in the fourth quarter as the Fixers maintained their defense to limit Olivos scoring to 19 points.

The Fixers scored a total of 23 points in the final quarter to secure their 81-67 victory.

Buds Camacho sizzled with 29 points as well, as he tried to keep pace with the Fixers in the first half.

E&E 81, DL Cooking Gas 62

Francis Serrano fired 19 points leading E&E to its 81-62 victory over DL Cooking Gas.

He sizzled in the final quarter with nine points and Mark Francisco blasted with two consecutive three point shots to secure their win.

Serrano help set the wide gap in the first quarter.

DL Cooking Gas however clamped on E&E’s offense in the second quarter limiting their score to 10 points. Marvin Marchadesh exploded with nine points including three-pointer to help close the gap in the third quarter.

E&E however, kept the surge in the final quarter securing their eighth victory.

Mythical Five 117, Tropical Laundry 82

Gilbert Miranda and Boyet Arreza bombarded Tropical Laundry with combined 52 points leading to Mythical Five’s 117-82 victory.

Arreza established the strong lead in the first quarter firing 15 points including a shot from behind the rainbow line.

Miranda took his turn in the second quarter leading to the team with his 10 points including two free throw shots. Then, he rampaged in the third tallying 10 points again.

Dong Echavez and Rey Culala picked up where Arrez and Miranda left off in the final quarter. Echavez fired 16 markers while Culala scored 14 points.

Noel Conti fired a three-point shot as he chipped in five points in the final quarter.
