The students and the volunteers removed debris and other kinds of trash on the shore and on the marine environments.
The group collected tires, cans, steel barrels, plastic containers and several other trash from the waters within the vicinity of Fish n’ Fins all the way to Rock Islands.The group started picking up trash at 8:30 am on Saturday and finished at around 12:30 noon.Fish n’ Fins provided canoes, life jackets and other diving equipments.Lunch was served after the cleanup activity.Tova Harel-Bornovski, Fish n’ Fins General Manager said that the coastal cleanup is part of the country’s annual activity in observance of the International Coastal cleanup.Harel-Bornovski said they have been doing coastal cleanup in Palau for more than nine years now.
