Biao Huang appeared in court with attorney G. Anthony Long.
He entered the plea on Tuesday after the indictment was translated to his native language.
He was also examined as to his ability to understand proceedings.
Long said they needed more time to prepare for trial.
The jury trial will commence on Jan. 11, 2010, but pretrial motions must be filed by Oct. 26, U.S. District Court for the NMI Chief Judge Alex Munson said.
A total of 1,021.4 grams of ice worth $510,000 were seized prior to the arrest of the four defendants — Biao Huang, Sheng Lian, Ya Bin Huang and Chun Mei Lin — who were remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service after the court hearings.
