GOVERNOR Ralph DLG Torres said he has asked Finance Secretary David DLG Atalig to represent the CNMI in the National Governors Association 114th Annual Winter Meeting to, among other things, discuss the Commonwealth’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Atalig left Saipan on Saturday to attend the four-day meeting in Washington, D.C. from Jan. 28 to 31.
He will “highlight the CNMI’s response to the global pandemic amid addressing resource needs for revitalizing our economy and investing in resilient infrastructure,” the governor said in an email.
Torres has designated Group Health Life Insurance Manager Velma P. Benavente as acting Finance secretary from Jan. 22 to Feb. 2, and Administrative Services Director Margaret Bertha C. Torres as acting secretary from Feb. 3 to 10, 2022.
