COMMUNITY volunteer Max Aguon said he is glad to see more people disposing of their trash properly in public areas, especially at beaches.

He said people are using the designated trash bins or taking their trash with them after a picnic or a get-together at the beach or a pavilion.
He hopes that more members of the community will continue to maintain the cleanliness of the island.
Aguon also told Variety that Akiki Alexander is now a constant partner in his volunteer work. Alexander has been joining Aguon in his cleanup activities since October 2019.
On Saturday and Sunday, Aguon said they collected a total of 1,100 pounds of trash.
