GCA 1 won three of five matches. The Eagles triumphed over Mount Carmel School 2 21-10 with GCA 1’s Anna Nunez, Kimi and Karina Dilse, Clerisse Dacumos, Aubrey Castro and Yupapan Karuaythong working together to finish each possession strong.
Although the MCS 2 Knights fired back a few times, they could not hold their ground due to GCA 1’s excessive pressure that was powered by spikes and impromptu touches.
The Eagles notched their second win against MCS 1, 21-16, and their third by defeating Saipan International School 2, 21-13.
GCA 1 tried to keep the momentum burning but was bested by top contender SIS 1 which dominated their match, 21-9.
GCA 1’s second loss came from the hands of sister team, GCA 2, 13-21.

Marianas High School 1 was the only other team besides Saipan International School 1 to hold a clean 4-0 record.
MHS 1 relied on the strength and agility of Fatima Monerubrio, Aiko and Nichko Rasiang, Madelleen Narciso and Nathanette Blass who nearly built an impenetrable defensive wall.
Although they committed errors and gave points away, the Dolphins held their ground long enough to notch their first win of the day, beating GCA 2, 21-13.
The MHS 1 Dolphins then bested their sister teams, MHS 4, 21-9 and MHS 2, 21-13.
Their toughest match was against SIS 2, but thanks to teamwork and communication, the MHS 1 Dolphins were able to outhustle their opponents to snag their fourth consecutive win, 21-18, and share the top spot with the SIS 1 Geckos.
GCA 2, for its part, won three games and lost three while MHS 2 and SIS 2 each had three wins and two losses.
