THE expert class riders were able to put on a good show during the competitive races of the Marianas Racing Association with Shane Alvarez emerging victorious as the dust settled at the Cow Town track on Sunday.

It was a nail-biting race from start to finish as no particular rider could gain control.
The first of eight laps was led by Shane Alvarez who was shadowed by Christian Camacho, the only ATV rider, and Cuki Alvarez.
Camacho’s efforts were quickly rewarded as he slipped past Shane Alvarez to take over the next two laps.
However, Alvarick Alvarez earned the spotlight with a sudden push of the throttle in the fourth and fifth laps, but the lead was then taken away by Angelito Hernaez in the sixth and seventh laps.
In the eighth and final lap, which was the decisive race, Shane Alvarez worked his way back to finish overall first place.

Close behind in overall second place was Angelito Hernaez. Christian Camacho was third; Alvarick Alvarez, fourth; Melvin Cepeda, fifth; and Franklin Santos, sixth.
In the six-lap veterans class race, Melvin Cepeda ruled the scene to claim the overall title. Henry Camacho and his ATV finished second while Ray Yumul edged Patrick Cabrera to take third place.
