FOR the second year, Majesty Chinese Restaurant & Catering on Beach Road in Garapan will be distributing free meals on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25.
Last year, almost 200 people received free Thanksgiving meals from Majesty, which wanted to help residents who were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Majesty Chinese Restaurant & Catering, a local establishment that has been distributing and delivering free meals on Sundays, is distributing Thanksgiving meals again this year,” said Jacqueline Che who has been spearheading the project since last year.
“Churches and other organizations in the CNMI provide thousands of meals to residents. This year is no exception despite Covid-19, though the pandemic has changed the way Thanksgiving gatherings are held,” she said.
Pre-packaged meals will be distributed between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. or while supplies last on Thanksgiving Day at Majesty Restaurant in Garapan. All meals will be prepared in-house by Majesty Restaurant’s culinary team.
Che said Majesty will strictly enforce social distancing and the mask mandate, and may resort to a drive-thru distribution.
Anyone who wants to refer a struggling person or low-income family in need of a Thanksgiving meal can email majesty.catering@tdisaipan.net
