Paire takes lead in U12 soccer

THE Paire Football Club sits on top of the U12 Division team standings of the Youth League Fall tournament after earning their fourth win by dismantling Kanoa Football Club 2, 13-0, Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center.

Paire had a powerful first half  as they overwhelmed Kanoa 2 with a barrage of goals.

As soon as the ball dropped, Paire found the back of the net starting with Jazzroy Villagomez at the 1st minute mark followed by Aidi Danis two minutes later before Kanoa 2 could stop the bleeding.

However, Paire got right back to the action with Jayten Villagomez reigniting the run with three goals.

Two more goals were “delivered”  by Kanoa 2 when they scored in their  goal while trying to defend their end turf as Paire stormed to an 8-0 lead by halftime.

In the second half, Kanoa 2’s defense started to improve but it still wasn’t enough to stop Paire’s onslaught.

Rodney Tomei scored two goals at the 29th and 44th minute marks while Paire team-mate Justidy Mizutani scored his first goal of the day at the 31st minute mark.

For his part, Jazzroy completed the hat-trick with his third goal at the 40th minute mark and Jayten Villagomez connected his fourth goal at the 46th to put Kanoa 2 out of their misery, 13-0.

MP United vs Matansa

MP United Football Club 1 collected their third win of the season after outgunning Matansa Football Club 4-2.

It was MPU 1’s strong start that set the tone as Taiga Namai-Scoggins stole the show with two consecutive makes at the 17th and 19th minute marks.

MPU’s lead grew in the second half as Lukas Lee contributed a solo goal at the 26th minute mark while Namai-Scoggins completed a hat-trick with his third goal at the 29th minute mark.

Matansa tried to fight back and scored two goals courtesy of Anton Megino and Yutaka Kadukora, but they failed to prevent MPU 1  from sealing victory, 4-2.

Kanoa 1 vs THFC

Kanoa Football Club 1 was the third team to join the celebration after slipping past the TanHoldings Football Club 3-2.

After a 1-1 deadlock in the first half, Kanoa 1 gained the advantage thanks to the work of Akoni Matsumoto who scored two goals at the 26th and 30th minute marks.

Emerson Brillo tried to keep THFC alive by scoring a goal, but Kanoa 1 succeeded in protecting its one-point lead to win the match.
