Bank of Guam: Nobody knows you like ‘The People’s Bank’

Established 50 years ago, Bank of Guam remains and continues to be “The People’s Bank.”

It is the first locally owned and chartered bank.

Founded in 1972, its founder Jesus S. Leon Guerrero envisioned the bank to be the driving force for prosperity in the communities it serves.

Fast forward to 2023, it now has more than 500 employees and 16 branches across Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Republic of Belau, and San Francisco, California.

It has been in the Marianas for going on over 50 years now.

“Through this journey, we’ve strengthened our relationships and witnessed our families grow in Saipan, Tinian and Rota – a true testament of our commitment to our community,” Bank of Guam said.

A message of thanks

Bank of Guam is thankful to the community for supporting them to be a part of Best of the Marianas.

“Thank you! You make up the best of the Marianas, and without you, we wouldn’t be the People’s Bank. We’re humbled and honored to be nominated and voted as one of the best banks in the Northern Marianas,” Bank of Guam said.

Bank of Guam said the nominations and votes only strengthen their commitment to serve the community.

“We will be more committed to provide our customers, the community, and our employees with the best and highest standards of service. We appreciate your confidence and trust in us, and look forward to continuing our service for years to come,” Bank of Guam said.

A commitment to serve

Bank of Guam was founded on a vision to serve our people and to serve them with respect, fairness, generosity and integrity.

“We are dedicated to providing the financial services our people need – from checking and savings to mortgages and business loans, and everything in between.  We believe in being a force for good and helping our customers do what matters most because we’re not just a bank,” Bank of Guam said.

As for what’s next for Bank of Guam?

“You can trust that we continue our mission to constantly improve and provide the best to the people of the Northern Marianas through 2023 and beyond. Through financial services, community partnerships, and especially our day-to-day interactions, we are committed to being there and being better for you,” Bank of Guam said.

New things on the horizon

Bank of Guam said it has some new products and services to offer this year.

“Keep an eye out for new things on the horizon as our digital transformation continues. Exciting upgrades and enhancements to our online and self-service channels mean greater convenience and ease for all our customers making banking always within reach, whenever and wherever you need it,” Bank of Guam said.
