Blossoms Floral Depo owner Elizabeth K. Tenorio said with things going from bad to worse, including the total collapse of the garment industry, airlines pulling out of the CNMI and the government’s budget problems, the CNMI leadership and elected officials need to bring changes to the commonwealth.
They also need to help boost small businesses, she added.
Tenorio said when she opened her store in 1991, small businesses were the backbone of the island’s economy.
She is not against welcoming big corporations, but sometimes huge businesses engage in reselling operations, “drowning” small businesses.
“The government needs to see that small businesses need attention because when these big companies leave, the small businesses will be left behind,” Tenorio said.
She noted that Blossoms Floral Depot opened during the boom years.
“Despite the economic depression, we are still a family and community oriented business. We strive to provide excellent services to our blossoming community,” she said.
For the past 19 years, Blossoms Floral Depo has been working to make every occasion as beautiful, elegant and breathtaking as they can by using a wide array of fresh or silk floral arrangements at affordable and reasonable prices.
“Blossoms is here to meet your every need. We also offer free consultation and work with you in coordinating services for weddings, funerals, graduations, proms, high school balls and special anniversaries at a minimal budget,” Tenorio said.
