I THOUGHT that it was only prudent right proper and fitting for the People to have some idea of WHAT Zaji really did to invoke the anger of the Republican controlled Legislature.
After communicating with Zaji and reading some of the comments I know that it was necessary for me to follow up with a more detailed explanation. I do respect objective comments and it seems that “racism” may not have been the ideal word nor the full story in my previous Epitaph, so I’m striking the racism and replacing it with the “Prejudice & Corruption” that Zaji exposed.
I also changed the racism to prejudice because I learned there have actually been 4, not 2, persona non granta to different races. But they were still cases of “prejudice towards mainland citizens,” as prejudice is a derivative or side-effect of racism, just a different word that is being based on one’s origins of the mainland and not race. I’m sure some readers may be asking the question WHY would our Legislature be soooo prejudice towards mainlanders, but it is really a question that has been answered at least four times. All of the persona non granta towards mainlanders were driven by their activities t who speak-up & out about the bad conditions in the CNMI. I’m just fortunate that I’m married to a Local with a big family and I know how to fight back, thanks to God for the talent, Dr. King, my education experiences and the wisdom of my MaDear.
It really not about what Zaji “suggested he would do if he had a gun” but his many successful complaints and cases against our Government that he has won holding them accountable to CNMI and Federal Laws. Zaji is very smart and knows the Labor Laws and has even been working with stakeholders (Local & Federal) in governing our Labor situation. Simply put, Zaji has literally been giving our Government “HELL” with his efforts to make sure our Government’s activities are “proper, fair and accountable” based on existing laws. Zaji has been conducting “in-your-face” battle with our Labor Department and Businesses and winning cases in the tens of thousands from catching them trying to manipulate and abuse the employment conditions and laws.
Zaji efforts started from a 2008, Federal Lawsuit over Immigration. The business sector eliminated the clause in a Bill that would allow for Locals to be trained to replace CWs saying it would be too expensive which is something Zaji exposed and is the very reason Local are not being trained as part of the CW Transition today. I had previously asked “why are locals being forced to apply for a job in competition with a CW” which makes no sense at all and now we all know why — it’s the Law that prevents locals from being trained to replace CWs. I just wish hope and pray the Democrats will look at the Public Service Program that I proposed because employers won’t have to spend a penny to train and in fact they will get FREE Laborers.
We actually have a Law that works against our CW Transition efforts and it creates “unfair hiring practice” that favors CWs when a CW is placed on the same level for a job with a U.S. citizen in AMERICA!!! I am not against CWs and in fact we will always need some but it’s not fair when a Local who is qualified wants a job but it’s given to a CW who should not even be in the CNMI if they don’t have a job. CWs are also hurting the chances of our youth who want to go into the workforce due to them having more experience, which is why they get the job over Locals.
But back in 2017, Zaji was successful in getting our Dept. of Labor to sanction and impose a fine on YWA Human Resource CNMI Corporation for failing to comply with DOL regulations. The company was fined 5,000 and Zaji got 7,400 in damages for being illegally looked over for a job. I Told readers our GOP Leaders were working AGAINST Locals and U.S. citizen especially when Locals and U.S. citizens have to apply for the SAME job a CW is trying to get and the CW more often than not gets the job. This is just one of his successful lawsuits but I want to share with readers in Zaji’s own words about some of the things he has done and is doing that is the real source that drove the persona non granta.

Our workforce has really been controlled by the business sector with virtually no real representation working on behalf of the Local People when it comes to the workforce. I even suggested when the Feds declared the 10 years mandated transition that the CNMI would institute a form of “Affirmative Action” which is what helped many African-Americans, especially women, to be propelled into the workforce at all levels. This group of Republicans have sold us out and proven they care more about the businesses and their kick-backs and their Chinese connections over the People.
Believe it or not China has been playing a big role in the plight of the CNMI and is still pulling strings in the CNMI through businesses and contacts. But Zaji has been exposing the evils of our Government how China has been influencing CNMI outcomes that favor the Business sector over the People. In fact, B.J. Cook warned us about China’s “Salami Slicing” up Pacific Islands, and I have even warned readers about China more than once. So for those who still doubt Zaji and the favoritism and corruption he has been exposing I would suggest readers to simply google “China: A Risk to Cooperate America” and you will get an “Official FBI Report” on what WE the People are dealing with in our Chinese Investors who are clearly in cahoots with our leaders and the Chinese Government, thus the RICO Investigation. This report will be a real eye-opener for those who didn’t know the level of the danger that China presents to our American Islands.
Readers also really need to know what they are saying in China about the Casino and OUR future as it has been evident all along the Chinese Government has been involved in the CNMI’s Casino Industry and is now trying to protect itself from being exposed more by the FBI.
