THE editor wrote an excellent Editorial on Rome and their Entitlement programs, and Socialism which were very true back then and some of which is even true today. But my concern is not so much for Entitlement Programs because these Republicans don’t even know what “Entitlement means for Locals.” However, I do believe the People of the CNMI, especially those living in poverty, averaging 61.1% for all three islands and 54.9% on Saipan in 2017, the majority in poverty and still today — sad.
The Governor PROMISED he would deliver PROSPERITY, which we now KNOW was a gaslighting LIE. Well, now I’m asking the Casino Commission “WHERE is OUR Prosperity” as they need to sue IPI for OUR Community Chest Money & Taxes due before there is nothing left to sue for given the court judgements that are being delivered forcing IPI to PAY-UP or liquidate. Given the budget is now fixed and the Governor has over 500 Million, if WE the People are fortunate to collect OUR Community Chest it should go straight to the People and not the “reprograming malarkey.”
WHERE was Sixto when it was time for him to explain what he plans to do with OUR 80-Million dollars? Sixto was a “NO-SHOW” for the Marianas Agupa Talk-show. He KNOWS the importance of “transparency” as a former Senator you would think he would have been a RESPONSIBLE & ACCOUNTABLE Public Servant FOR the People and explained. But he is just another one of the Governor’s emissaries like Angel Demapan and can’t make up an “80 million dollars lie” so he disappears! I keep telling readers this Governor and Crew are scandalous and depending on voters to “to not know or forget,” but this malarkey must GO!
WHAT is the Governor’s testimony going to be given his arrogant refusal to resign, is a question that many are asking and waiting for but I’m here to tell you “DON’T get your hopes up” as the Governor has ONLY two options left: 1st is that he may “Plead the Fifth” avoiding ALL questions! 2nd. He may try to use “Historical Practice” for rationale, as there have been a lot of officials who “purchased first-class tickets” including former Governors and Secretaries. But any judge will tell the Governor that “ignorance and overlooked illegal historical practice are NO DEFENSE.” I know for a fact from traveling with a former Secretary who told me he “ALWAYS flew first class for the Government and that other Secretaries and Governors have also flown first-class.” My worry is that Republicans in both houses of our Legislature ARE NOT going to convict the Governor taking us backwards to the Fitial years, when we need PROGRESS!
WHAT is the Variety Poll supposed to prove when the Democrats are not listed because neither Republican will be elected. Voters have seen this trick with the Covenant & Independent Republican and WE still got a bunch of malarkey and even the now dead casino shoved down our throats. But it was amazing is that Governor Torres was ahead of Arnold, with 50.8% while Arnold had 49.2% but the poll is really not revealing because it doesn’t show the total number of votes which is a vital reflective number for the “authenticity value.” How can this Governor be getting more votes but like I keep telling readers, We the People have toooo many suffering from the “Torres Syndrome” like the mainland & the CNMI have those suffering from the “Trump Syndrome.” WHAT WE the People can do to change and even end the deadly Torres Syndrome is to vote for Democrats like our lives and our economy depend upon CHANGE — for REAL!
