PLEASE pass the CCC abolition bill and thus protect both the business community and the CNMI government from futile legal trauma, which goes on forever solving nothing, wasting needed time and funds as we have seen over the last 20 years.
This also keeps the U.S. federal government from being involved along with more time wasted and nothing solved.
The IPI disaster has by itself threatened the stability of the entire CNMI. No money collected and thousands spent to continue trying! Gambling by definition only brings storm clouds to the future. Haven’t the CNMI suffered enough to now turn the page to abolish gambling? If I were there, I think a run for the governor would be a welcome addition. (I’m a former NMC Math/Science teacher and USDA Extension Agent and CREES head.)
