One of the high points in my career and life was when Senator Kennedy recognized me as a U.S. constitutional scholar by the U.S. Congress.
His love of America and our Constitution was contagious and he definitely impacted my life as civil rights activist and as a congressional leader who always fought for those who were placed at an “unfair advantage” in life’s challenges.
Senator Kennedy was truly one of my mentors in the sphere of politics and the study of the U. S. Constitution. He will certainly be missed but his legacy will certainly live on through the many people he has touched and influenced during his life time. Adios to the Lion of the Senate and Rest in Peace.
