But who listens to Ambrose, I’m only an educator and scholar with degrees in political science and economics — duh! Another one of my predictions is coming to fruition AGAIN people. I TOLD YOU
SO for the umpteenth time — checkmate cyber rats. I really wonder how many times I will have to do this before the powers that be, voters and the cyber rats will get it that I know what I’m talking about.
But there’s more, I TOLD VOTERS during and after the delegate election “our ONLY hope for immediate economic recovery was the U.S. Congress with the help of the GOP” and now Lt. Governor Inos just publicly confirmed and authenticated my admonishments — another I TOLD YOU SO and thanks Lt. Governor for helping me to score another checkmate on my critics. I hope voters are getting this proof I promised which clearly demonstrates my argument that voters are MORE responsible than our leaders for our poor politics locally and in Washington.
The Covenant Party clearly has an expiration date now (January of 2015) and the Governor realizes it, which I’m sure is the main reason he wanted to go back to the GOP as the Covenant was HIS party, not the people’s. But no one was really listening when I told them that and now he has openly admitted he formed the party for HIMSELF so he could be governor. Duh voters see how you were tricked the Covenant Party wasn’t for the PEOPLE that’s why NOTHING good happened for the PEOPLE! This is not rocket science and I keep telling readers we voted ourselves into this mess and the proof I promised is now staring everyone in the face straight from the horse’s mouth figuratively. Wake up and become better objective listeners and voters, is the lessons that should have been learned regardless of the source. I am only trying to help and attacking me and totally disregarding my admonishments because I’m an outsider has clearly PROVEN to be NOT beneficial to the people or the commonwealth and it is making my critic look ridiculous. Just think if I was a local, the CNMI might just be a better place today.
As for the Speaker’s comment that joining the GOP will be more beneficial to the Covenant, I totally disagree because the Covenant will be dead — duh! The Speaker also doesn’t understand the politics in Washington if he thinks the principles of the parties and your membership in a party doesn’t matter in Congress — a lesson that some voters haven’t learn. But Rep. Diego Benavente raised some good points about the reunification of the Covenant back with the GOP which is truly a political game that is going to be played out in the coming future.
I’m just wondering if there is going to be a checkmate for prosperity by the GOP from the Governor’s first move or a stalemate with nothing happening to really help the people for another two or four years. Now that the big meeting for the Governor’s return has been cancelled it’s no telling what we can expect.
But I would like to offer this free advice for a checkmate move to the GOP when they make their move. It is no secret the Covenant is responsible for ALL of our aligning conditions and given this administration has been in charge for FIVE years the GOP doesn’t have to worry about being attached to their many failures. BUT the GOP should NOT accept the Governor until he is willing to formally and publicly seek the support of HIS entire Covenant Party to join the GOP with him and it is imperative that he publicly declare his total allegiance to the GOP platform that was designed to help jump start our economy but it is now collecting dust! I’m sure most people will agree this is not too much to ask if the governor truly wants to rejoin the party. But personally I would also be demanding a public apology for splitting up the party and the voters for personal goals that only served to deliver economic hardships and Bitter Times.
The Governor really has no choice but to deliver if he wants to save what’s left of his political real estate in the
CNMI by joining the Republican Party. I’m also confident that with strong leaders like Diego in the party the Governor won’t be taking over the party, which reminds me of the headlines that Governor Fitial will “take care of the GOP” when he is personally responsible for degrading the party — now that’s funny! The Governor needs to be hoping and praying the GOP will accept him and take care of what will remain of his party especially once he is out of office and his party is dead. I also used the wrong terminology previously when I said merger because it WILL NOT be a merger but merely new members being added to the GOP. I feel safe in saying the Governor WILL NOT take care of the party which really means TAKE OVER the party because the GOP can surely checkmate the Governor if he doesn’t try to change his move.
The GOP needs to Carpe Diem to get reforms started now for the people because we have a very long ways to go to find economic prosperity and time is a wasting! A journey of a million miles starts with the first step — if not now when, if not the GOP then who will lead us to prosperity?
A footnote since I’m on the subject of headlines: It should be duly noted that when the headlines read “landslide” for Kilili that it was totally incorrect. A landslide is when a candidate receives an overwhelming majority of ALL votes cast but Kilili only received 43 percent of the votes meaning the true majority didn’t even vote for Kilili.
Nothing personal just facts that support and prove my case about CNMI politics. The proper technical term should have been a “sweeping” victory of all precincts, not a landslide. Headlines can be very subliminally leading and misleading readers as you can see. But notice the 57 percent who didn’t vote for Kilili are the same divided people voting phenomenon in previous elections that forced us to create a majority vote law for governor and has prevented voters from selecting the best candidate for years. This is just another example in the delegate race of WHY education is needed on the politics of voting in the CNMI even for the newspapers. I keep saying we are toooo small to be soooo divided when 1 of 4 candidates can easily be lucky and win without getting the true majority vote — the odds in the delegate race were 3 to 1 against us getting it right and we lost again. The CNMI needs two strong parties to lower the odds for success or we will continue this multiple choice guessing game that is more like Family Feud due to our politics being directly tied to families. One people one direction for a checkmate by the GOP and a strong two party system in the future with smarter voters.
