Letter to the Editor: Concerned and upset

The poster says “honoring those who served” and indicating countries and places, but what bothers me and the others is that we did not see the Pacific war on the list. What makes me upset is that when we called the Veterans Affairs Office they told us that the Pacific was not a major conflict and the poster came from Washington, D.C.

I don’t know about conflict but I do know the words “honoring those who served.” Anyone who sees this poster would feel the same as I do. In my own opinion if we are honoring those who served are we honoring only those in the areas indicated on the poster? Please explain this to the people of the commonwealth. Have we forgotten the war in the Pacific or the history of the atomic bomb?

Lastly to our U.S. delegate, Mr. Gregorio C. Sablan, please look into this matter and perhaps explain it to the people of the commonwealth.
