Letter to the Editor: Goodbye to Tinian

And I will miss the extremely proficient and dedicated hospital nursing staff, as well as the good Doctor Lebamoff  who manages to always see the humorous side of the bizarre-as-usual nature of things at THC.

I WON’T miss the inept management at THC or the frustration of not being paid since mid-December. I WON’T miss the petty professional jealousies and self-serving agendas of several of the staff at THC.

The bottom line, however, is that I have enjoyed living on Tinian and providing medical care to its hospitable people. Take care of Dr. Lebamoff for he is the single honest, capable, and caring provider at THC and he truly works in the best interest of the people there.

As for me, many of you know that I am off to an adventure (one where I’ll actually get paid for my work). I wish you all the best during these difficult times and hope that you all remain in good health. Perhaps I’ll stop by to say “hafa adai” and to watch an evening baseball game when I return in a year or two.
