For years we have been subjected to so much visual pollution that it almost became acceptable. Fortunately it is all gone. What a relief. Overnight, the island became visually more attractive for our visitors and most importantly our community.
As a matter of fact, I became so use to these eyesores that when I drove past the stores on Capital Hill recently I mistakenly thought that they had closed down.
