The new Internet comment section of the Variety is indeed a novel idea as it gives people an opportunity to freely express their opinions on news stories. The problem is not everyone but those non-intellectual people I talked about are nesting in this section behaving more like a rat pack. You see the same people throwing trash almost every day and it’s always politically related. It is very obvious they are an organized group who KNOW each other and they are using this section to say things that would NEVER be printed in the news as much of it is like rat feces.
It sad to see people actually plotting to destroy people in this section as the Rat Pack does more mudslinging than offering reasonable common sense opinions. The Rat Pack is also a political species that has evolved to counter some of the many good things that have been done and proposed by the opposition to their political ties.
If you read their comments you will clearly know who they support and you will smell the feces.
I’m for freedom of speech but when it is used purely for destructive purposes we have a problem, which is why I’m letting the smell out for everyone to get a whip of. The Rat Pack is using the secrecy of cyberspace but they can’t stand exposure as they will scatter just like rats when REAL people come in the room. Sooner or later someone is going to reveal who this Rat Pack is now that they have been exposed.
I’m sure most people with common sense who read the ugly and biased comments of the rat pack give them about as much credit and respect as you would give a rat. The comment section is a great section that was meant for constructive criticism and opinions not a character assignation forum. Grow up people you sound like a bunch of rats.
I wrote this because the Rat Pack seems to think that the problems we are facing can only be solved by the present administration and that Washington has no part in the equation. I think the average voter and high school student knows the keys to solving most of our challenges are in Washington and not on Capitol Hill as it was Capitol Hill that got us in this mess. But the Rat Pack is tearing away at the ONLY ONE who is truly trying to find the solutions in Washington just because they are not part of the present status quo. He is the ONLY politician in the CNMI that is fully respected by the feds from his many years in Washington and as a former governor. He may be the ONLY ONE with the capacity to turn things around for the CNMI in Washington given the fact he will have the support of entire Republican Party.
It was obvious to me the Rat Pack doesn’t know the first thing about playing in the political arena of Washington, as politics is the ULTIMATE TEAM SPORT. A single delegate operating alone in Washington is what we have had since the commonwealth was created and now the CNMI has a real opportunity to have genuine political real estate in both houses of Congress. BUT we have a rat pack who trying to get people to look backwards instead of forward and they are saying anything possible to destroy this ray of hope for the CNMI that will clearly be visible on the horizon in November.
Politics IS NOT PERSONAL — it is not that our present delegate is doing a bad job but the fact that the CNMI has a real opportunity to send someone who can do a much better job. We need our very BEST politician in Washington to stop this economic free fall we are in so we can clean up the economic mess that is the direct result of poor leadership. One people, One direction
